The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has cautioned consumers that new phishing e-mails have been seen posing as messages from the customer service of Amazon.com - the popular online shopping site. The e-mail, which displays a header "Thank you for your order," contains the bookstore's logo and appears genuine.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has found many instances where people in Jharkhand and Northeast lost huge amount of money because of fabricated (fictitious)) offers of huge prize money through phishing mail.

According to Microsoft, the newly found malware (which abuses a new Windows flaw) is mainly widespread in Indonesia and Iran. The malware that Microsoft named Stuxnet is the discovery of VirusBlokAda - a Belarusian antivirus company. The flaw apparently exists in how Windows handles shortcut icons and allows arbitrary code execution through the simple viewing of a folder carrying a maliciously created .LNK document.
