Security researchers at the SANS Internet Scam Center (ISC) have cautioned against a new SQL injection-like attack, which has hacked a considerable number of sites.

According to a warning by Facebook, an ongoing scam is presenting users an opportunity to add to their profiles what's called a 'dislike' option. NetworkWorld reports this on August 16, 2010.

Researchers from security company Trend Micro report that hackers have invaded 'The operation,' an illegally running clearing house which processes credit cards.

A few overseas-based unidentified computer hackers have of late invaded the e-mail account belonging to the Indian ambassador deputed in Uzbekistan which they subsequently used to distribute virus-laced e-mails targeting top individuals at the Indian Home Ministry. The incident reportedly caused a panic in the security department, reports The Times of India on August 16, 2010.
