Network Computing test Exchange Spam killers
According to Network Computing, their Barracuda spam filter got a tag rate of 78% - that is 78% of all mail received is spam, which is largely the same figure as last year.
So Network Computing asked 16 vendors to submit their anti-spam software for testing on their Exchange Servers on Syracuse University Real-World Labs ®

Only 6 vendors answered the request - but Sunbelt iHateSpam died during the test and did not recover in time. That left 5 contestants, namely Cloudmark, Commtouch Software, MailFrontier, Red Earth Software and Symantec.
One Product won the show due to the elegant and efficient design of the filter.
The Editors Choice went to MailFrontier’s Gateway Server. Congratulations!
But we think it is too bad only 6 in 16 answers a request for review software – are they afraid? Clearswift, GFI Software, Hexamail, Lyris Technologies, McAfee, NetIQ, SurfControl, Sybari Software, TrendMicro and TumbleWeed Communications declined their invitation to participate.
