Internet security analysis firm Enigma Software Group recently spotted one fresh malware item that is called Windows Vista Recovery. This malware as Enigma Software highlights belongs to the scareware group of applications also known as rogueware.
Says the security firm that no sooner is Windows Vista Recovery loaded onto a computer it begins showing security alerts along with fake error messages. Usually the user of the affected PC gets bothered that his hard drive is having some fault. But that problem is in reality artificially created and to fix it he is suggested for taking down and loading a program from the Internet.
Furthermore, as the name encouragingly sounds, Windows Vista Recovery merely troubles the user with error notices while advises him to run a system scan on his computer. In addition, the program is so made that it simply continues to alert the user of increasing number of errors identified.
